Statement
Gonzo Media is committed to making our website usable by as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We want anyone looking to book photography, videography, drone, or photo booth services to be able to do that without running into barriers.
Conformance Standard
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. These guidelines, published by the World Wide Web Consortium, are the standard most widely referenced for digital accessibility.
We consider this site to be partially conformant with WCAG 2.1 Level AA. Partially conformant means that most of the content meets the standard, but some parts may not yet fully do so. We are working on the remaining items.
What We've Done
Accessibility measures currently in place across this site include:
- Full keyboard navigation, including the package selectors, add-on toggles, and date picker, with a visible focus indicator on every interactive element
- A skip link that lets keyboard and screen reader users jump straight to the main content
- Semantic landmarks and heading structure so screen readers can navigate the page by section
- Form fields with properly associated labels, and status messages announced to screen readers as they appear
- Text and interface colors tested to meet the WCAG AA contrast minimum against our background
- Respect for the operating system's reduced motion setting, which disables scroll and hover animations and starts background video paused
- A visible pause control on every background video, reachable by keyboard, with your choice remembered as you move through the site
- Descriptive alternative text on meaningful images, with decorative graphics hidden from assistive technology
Known Limitations
We want to be straightforward about where gaps may remain:
- Background videos are muted and decorative, and carry no information that is not also given in text. Portfolio videos that contain speech or on-screen text do not yet have captions. If you need a captioned or described version of any video, contact us and we will provide one.
- Third-party embedded content, such as photo galleries and Matterport 3D tours, is controlled by those providers and may not fully meet WCAG 2.1 AA.
Report a Barrier
If you run into any part of this site you cannot access, we want to hear about it. Tell us the page you were on and what went wrong, and we will work with you to get you the information or complete your booking another way.
We aim to respond to accessibility feedback within 3 business days.
Alternative Access
If any part of this website prevents you from booking, you can reach us directly by phone or email and we will take your booking, walk you through pricing and package options, and answer any questions over the phone or by email instead.
Ongoing Work
Accessibility is not a one-time task. We review this site as we add new pages, photos, and videos, and we address issues as we find them or as they are reported to us. This statement is updated when the site changes materially.
